Paul Tuemler LP Gas Sales & Service Inc., Legacy
Paul and Shirley began their legacy long before the initial opening of Paul Tuemler LP Gas Sales & Service Inc., in 1972. Both engaged in the betterment of the Pendleton County Community in particular, along with the surrounding counties.
Paul was instrumental in obtaining funds for Gene Snyder Airport, taking his love of flying to new heights. He was active in the 4-H organization and served on the Pendleton County Fair Board.
For years Paul Tuemler L.P. Gas purchased animals raised by the young people of 4-H. Paul assisted with the building of the Pendleton County Extension Office south of Falmouth on Hwy 27, and originally the building was named after him.
Shirley Tuemler spent years as costume designer for the Pendleton High School musical productions, she also served in the same capacity in the early years of the Kincaid Regional Theatre. Shirley Tuemler was a founding member of the annual Wool Festival. Shirley passed in 2014; Paul passed in 2022.
Paul Tuemler LP Gas Sales & Service Inc. continues in operation to this day under the guidance of George and Patrick.
